Overview

This policy explains what personal data FoodBank ("we") collects through the FoodBank website and ordering service, why, and what rights you have. It is written to align with the Nigeria Data Protection Act / NDPR. Last updated 2026-09-07.

What we collect

Order and account data: your name, phone number, email address, delivery address, order history, and loyalty activity.

Technical data: limited server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) kept for security and troubleshooting. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

Cookies: only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site and ordering to work. See "Cookies" below.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

To take and fulfil your orders and provide support — necessary to perform our contract with you.

To run the loyalty programme — with your consent, given when you join.

To keep the service secure and meet tax and accounting obligations — our legitimate interests and legal obligations.

Who we share it with

Paystack — to process payments.

Resend — to send transactional email (order confirmations, account and security messages).

Cloudflare — website hosting and content delivery.

We do not sell your personal data. Processors act on our instructions under contract.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as needed for the service and for the period tax law requires. Loyalty and contact data is kept until you ask us to delete it or the account is closed. Security logs are kept for a short rolling period.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, object to processing, or withdraw consent for the loyalty programme. To delete loyalty data yourself, use the data deletion request form. For anything else, email [email protected]. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies — for example to keep your basket and session working. We do not use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt in or out of. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent first.
